Hello Wedding Blog World,

My bachelor party was a success! All i wanted was a low key guys weekend in Vegas (many people thought this wasn't possible!) and my wish came true. My brother organized the whole thing, gave it the title "Robby's Pretty Pretty Princess Party", and made sure that the weekend was everything i hoped for. We won 6 free tickets to the UFC fight on saturday night, worked out (i said low key!), and had a great time! Thanks to my buddies who came and supported me and thank you to my lovely fiance for the treats she made for me with help from claire and thank you to brother Bill for taking care of everything! We got our engagement pictures back!!!

We are thrilled!! I absolutely love them. We had an amazing day shooting them. It was so fun to just play with Robby and have pictures taken. Kelsie Pinkerton of Pinkerton Photography http://pinkertonphoto.wordpress.com/ came all the way from Arizona for this special day. My sweet friend, Amy Reid, came with me too. She calmed my nerves and helped with everything I needed.

Amy just wrote the most honoring blog about Robby and I!! Her blog is adorable and all about married life. Amykreid.blogspot.com . Read it and you will fall in love with her too. She has been such a sweet friend and bridesmaid. She just hosted a bridesmaid’s tea for me! That will be my next post. I could not imagine a more selfless, fun spirited friend.

I also have to thank my beautiful sister. She has been giving me bridal cards, supporting me, loving me and sharing in my excitement. This time could not be so amazing without her. I need her every step of the way.

Merry Christmas!!!

Robby and I both had amazing Christmas'! We each got to spend alot of time with our families. We went our separate ways so we wouldn't miss any of our family traditions. Next year is so hard to imagine! Very exciting though. I made Robby a shutterfly book. I am going to make one every year to celebrate all of the wonderful moments that year held. I am a little obsessed with shutterfly. Its perfect. I also got a very special gift from Robby's family.... A RED KITCHENAID MIXER!!! yes, THAT kind. The kind that makes me a wife. It means I am getting married. I am so excited to have it.

I even got to buy christmas decorations for our home next year! what a wonderful merry christmas!!!

Hello Christmas and Wedding Chaos!

Last Sunday, December 20, we took our engagement pictures! It was so much fun!! We went to 3 locations. Robby was incredibly patient throughout the whole process. Our amazing photographer, Kelsie, flew in from Arizona. Robby started the day off right bringing her starbucks and snacks. My mom was so kind as she helped me get ready and Amy spent the day driving me around and making sure I had everything I needed. It was such a perfect day. I am just DYING to see them. Just one!! I will post them as soon as we get them. i can't wait!!!

It's our engaged christmas season. It has been so fun. We have looked at lots of christmas lights, planned what we want for next year, went to a christmas party at the Reid's house, had a cookie day, made christmas ornaments with our little 2-year olds class, tonight we are going to the candelight service at church, last weekend we went to a christmas wedding. it has been amazing. it is crazy to think that next year it will be ours. Our plans, our timing, our christmas decorations, our traditions. I am so excited. Merry Christmas!!! Engagement pictures- please come soon!!

Engagement Party!

Well, I am a little late (the party was September 19)…right now we are celebrating the wonderful Christmas season, but I am working on catching us up!

The Dow family blessed us with the most amazing night! I don’t know if I have ever felt so loved. It was perfect. Robby’s aunt, cousin and mom made BEAUTIFUL white flower arrangements. There was a musician playing the piano and singing Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble –type songs. Delicious food was tray passed. Robby even got old fashioned diet cokes in bottles. I never could have imagined an evening like this. It makes me tear up remembering how many friends and family came. We were surrounded with love and support. All of my extended family, roommates, and high school cheerleaders in addition to Robby's extended family, friends, and their families. It was the best way to celebrate our love. I spent the whole night with my handsome fiancé at my side. I got to wear a gorgeous red dress (if I may say). It was a beautiful September night. I have never felt so loved. A glimpse into our love story…

So much has happened since we last wrote! My new idea is to write shorter entries more often. There are too many updates to put in one message. We have been unbelievably busy. Between work, church, meeting with vendors, and life we hardly have a chance to breathe. Being engaged is magical though. It’s the best kind of busy. I have been dress shopping, chosen flowers, had a bridesmaids day, picked our dj, Robby got my engagement ring engraved, planned our honeymoon, looked through a million wedding magazines and spent hours on TheKnot. I am so thankful I am doing this with Robby. He is the most supportive and helpful groom. He listens to all my ideas. He helps me contact vendors and boy can he get a good deal! Our engagement pictures are in two weeks! We have been looking for locations in Laguna Beach. I am so excited to have professional pictures of us playing! Our wedding announcement was in the LA Times on Sunday. This whole thing is so surreal. We joined a Sunday School class for engaged and newlywed couples. I think we will learn a lot about each other and how to have a Christ-centered marriage. I am praying that we will get to know other couples at our stage of life that share a similar frame of mind. Having that community is so important! Robby and I are teaching the 2-year old church group on Wednesday nights. We are so busy and scattered, but being engaged makes it worth it. This time is filled with a sweet peace that I am marrying my favorite person in the world. We get to do all these fun wedding activities and then at the end we get to be married! It’s an amazing journey that will last forever.

Hello Wedding Blog World!

I am back! It's Robby! It's a perfect day for me to write this because today we are officially 300 days away to our big day! I don't like that description "big day". It is so much more than that! It's an amazing day! I know it is not "cool" of me or may be considered "gay" of me to talk like this but when a guy gets to marry a girl as beautiful and as fun Paige, I would be a fool not to be excited! My new favorite thing is to tell everyone how much i scored (not that score.. that's 300 days away too!) with paige and how truly out of my league she is! I honestly look at her with awe and love at how blessed I am. Today paige and i simulated being married by laying on the floor both pretending to be snoring to see what that is going to be like when we are married. we our rode bikes to the grocery store to pick up dessert laughing and me checking out paige's butt while she rode and we are now sitting next to each other with a computer on both of our laps doing our own stuff. Even now I can't believe how lucky I am to have this blonde and fun loving woman as my fiance!

All day today I have loved the cold air and the fall season! Paige is fighting me on it because we all know how she loves her warmth but I love the change of season! This change makes me excited for the christmas season, the new year and the excitement and joy that comes with all of that! Thank you to everyone who came to our engagement party and who have supported us and been excited for us so far!

My Lovely Ladies

On Sunday, September 13 I successfully tricked eight of my closest, sweetest friends into being my bridesmaids! It was so much fun for me! I have been blessed with so many amazing people that have shaped, supported, and encouraged me through this life. I am honored to have eight gorgeous women standing up for me as I commit to being Robby’s wife. It’s so exciting to taking this next step in life and I couldn’t do it without the love of these girls. I have been planning this for years so I could not have been more excited. I asked each girl individually to meet me at Cedar Creek Inn in Brea. Thankfully, they all said yes! To their surprise when they arrived it wasn’t just a lunch for two. I had the patio decorated with a banner asking them to be my bridesmaids, a bridesmaids cookie, tank top, picture and a letter expressing my gratitude for their impact in my life. We ate appetizers, enjoyed the sun, and wedding talk. I had the best time setting it up! My family and Robby all helped and made it incredibly fun. Claire, my sweet sister and best friend, is my maid of honor. Since I asked her about a month ago to do it, she has not stopped showering me with wedding love. She even started a Facebook thread for all the bridesmaids to talk before the big day. She has pulled out all the stops in finding ways to remind me that this is the time I have been most excited for, THANK YOU SISTER. I feel so loved and taken care of. Meet my lovely ladies….

Beautiful Claire Wimberly- my maid of honor- she makes me laugh and will keep me calm on the big day. She is also my best friend and the person I admire most.

Stunning Amy Reid- my bridesmaid- oh dear, Amy. No one understands my love for weddings like you. Thank you for understanding that and loving me by loving my wedding. Your notes, gifts, cards, texts all mean so much and make being engaged the time of my life.

Gorgeous Michelle Feneck- my bridesmaid- Michelle is like a sister to me. we have grown up together doing absolutely everything. Vacations, cruises, pool days, and Disneyland adventures always include Michelle’s sweet heart and shocking sense of humor. (Michelle, its not shocking that you are funny, you are always so funny at the perfect times its shocking. See the difference?)

Flawless Kelly Dow- my bridesmaid and soon-to-be sister- Kelly is gorgeous, sweet and fun. She can tease Robby like nobody’s business- and that’s a quality to be admired!

Fabulous Ashley Saah- my bridesmaid- Ashley and I have been friends since we were born. We spent years and years playing with dolls then cheerleading and now getting married. How could I do this without her standing with me!

Vivacious Brittany Hillquist- my bridesmaid- Brittany is my sweet friend from junior high, high school and college. I can completely count on her friendly face and fun spirit. I know this is just one of may big life moments we will share together.

Radiant Rachel Hoffman- my bridesmaid- Rachel has the softest heart I have met. She blesses me with her thoughtful words and encouragement constantly. She lived with me as I fell in love with Robby. She knows my heart and I trust her completely.

Glowing Kimberly Shelkey- my bridesmaid- Everyone is instantly attracted to Kimi’s love for life, outgoing personality, and stunning beauty and I am no exception! living together let me see the heart of this gorgeous girl. Kimi has been nothing but excited and supportive of me and I am so thrilled to have her do this with me!

Wedding Bliss

I think that every post could be titled "Wedding Bliss." We have chosen our fabulous location, pretty much chosen colors, found a florist we love, an extremely talented photographer, bridesmaids, we chose our first dance song (Robby may or may not be aware we chose our first dance song- let me know Rob.) I am not sure if the first dance song is a surprise for the guests, if it's not then I want to write about why we chose the song we did. I have some creative dance ideas and little details. I am using my beautiful, teal Mindy Weiss wedding planner. My room has been taken over by wedding glory. Everything from engagement cards to magazine clippings to my bride-to-be panties to letters from Robby are thoroughly displayed. I could not be more excited.

One fun bridal event that I got to do with my mom, my sister, Amy and Michelle was go to the bridal bar in Beverly Hills. We made a fun little day out of it. We ate outside at The Ivy, no celebrities where sited, but that's more Robby's interest anyway. Then, we went to this cute little shop called the Bridal Bar. They promise cake tastings and champagne upon arrival. Then, they flood you with pictures and videos and samples to help determine your wedding tastes. I am not sure that it was helpful, but it was certainly fun. So fun, that I have already looked into opening my own Bridal Bar in Newport Beach. Thank you so much ladies for celebrating me and making me feel honored. Being the bride is so much fun with these girls!

I AM ENGAGED!!!! I can’t believe it! I can’t believe Robby beat me to blogging about it. Being engaged is amazing, perfect and more than I could have imagined. I really love it! Everything has been wonderful from the proposal, location searching, bridal bar, asking bridesmaids, engagement party, and just wearing this GORGEOUS ring! We wrote the proposal story on our website www.robbyandpaige.weddingpearl.com. Everything feels so surreal. October is going to be a big planning month for me! I am determined to get all of the big stuff decided so I can focus on the little intimate details, which are my favorite part. I am so thankful to our friends and family who are already making this such a special time for us. I love being a fiancé! I don’t just love being a fiancé, I love being Robby’s fiancé. The more things we are doing the more I seeing what a wonderful man I have been blessed with! I could have a whole blog about that! Our Love Story! Chapter 1

Hello Blog and Wedding World,

It's time to blog these days of bliss, love, and decisions in hopes of sharing this time with the ones we love. Paige and I are loving every second of this time and quickly learning that making decisions for others is a whole lot easier than making decisions for ourselves. As for now we have a location! Southcoast Winery in Temecula is where we will start this life together and it is where i proposed to my lovely fiance! That is where we will become one and share in what we hope is a FUN! night with all of our friends and family. This hasn't really set in yet, i know Paige and i will have momentary realizations of what that day will have in store for us but as of right now it seems too far off to understand. (yes we know all of you married people that "it will be here before we know it") haha but we will enjoy our naivety for now!

What's next for us is our engagement party next weekend! it should be a really fun party with a live singer, classic diet coke bottles, and great catered food! (also for any guy who reads this, the party is on the same night as the big mayweather boxing fight.. so somehow i am going to have to try and convince Paige to let us put it on during the party.."ahh married life") haha. we are going to try and update our blog as much as possible so check in and share this journey with us!
